Beach Shack Spring 2012
After that fun session, I think I am ready for the beach! Happy Thursday!
Stan proposed to Courtney at an Atlanta Braves game, before they entered the stadium. Of course, she was delighted and said yes, but was even more surprised, when they went on into the stadium to find her parents sitting in their seats! Stan had not only orchestrated the elaborate proposal at the game, but arranged for Courtney’s parents and brother to be there as well, making for an absolutely perfect proposal! The wedding day was just as perfect, from start to finish.
Vendors: Ceremony: All Souls Church Reception: Ashley Alexander House Reception Lighting: Ron Reynolds (father of the bride) Cake: Mickey’s Special Affairs Catering: Eat My Catfish Dress: Danielle’s Bridal Suit: JoS. A. Bank from Jim’s Formal wear Bouquets: Letta’s Flowers Reception Decor and Coordination: Heather J. Clarke (friend of the bride)Here are a few favorites from the day, and you can see more of Courtney and Stan’s wedding in the SLIDESHOW.….
Even though they weren’t seeing each other before the ceremony, Courtney did want a shot of the two of them together….But, Nick, Courtney’s brother, had a better idea. The hilarious part, Stan was so tuned in to the pictures, he didn’t even miss a beat that he was holding a more “manly” hand. I was laughing pretty hard through these shots, and Stan finally said “I don’t get it” and so Nick popped his head around…..Back to Courtney, for a super-sweet moment when Stan delivered a letter. He couldn’t see her through the door as she read, but he could tell she was getting emotional. Definitely one of my favorite moments from the day! Congratulations, Courtney and Stan! We loved being a part of your beautiful day!
Happy Wednesday!

Courtney and Stan were married this weekend, and from the very first time we discussed the wedding, Courtney made it clear that she and Stan were absolutely not going to see each other before the ceremony, but they also felt strongly that they not keep guests waiting at the reception. Before I even had a chance to suggest it, Courtney asked if it would be possible to trade a traditional bridal session for a Day After session, so she could get the pictures she wanted, while also have the wedding day exactly the way she imagined it. I was delighted by her suggestion, although I honestly didn’t imagine we would be able to shoot the session on the ACTUAL day after the wedding. It worked out that way, though, and because it was Mother’s Day, Courtney and Stan drove down to my family’s barn, so we could shoot a quick session close to home, and allow me to spend most of the day with my family (which made me very grateful!) They also surprised me with flowers, which was beyond sweet! I seriously adore these two.
Check out a few of my favorites from Courtney and Stan’s Day After session….and come back tomorrow to see their sweet wedding!
Huckabee wasn’t able to be at the wedding, but he did come along for the Day After session! Could he be any cuter?!!Happy Tuesday!Show 3 comments

Their story begins at work. Rachel and Daniel began new jobs at St. Vincents Hospital, working the night shift, and immediately noticed each another. Very Gray’s Anatomy, minus the drama! Within a month, Daniel had asked Rachel to dinner and a movie. And though, in the beginning, Rachel wasn’t certain if it was a date or simply two co-workers hanging out, when Daniel insisted on paying for everything, she happily recognized that it was indeed, a real date. They continued to date, and when a co-worker texted the question they had tiptoed around ….Hey, are you two a couple? They decided, together, that yes, they were in fact, definitely a couple. And, they are definitely in love, and definitely getting married this October!
To say that I loved shooting these two doesn’t even do it justice. My voice was about gone for the shoot (the after-effects of a massive sinus infection) and I squeaked my way through their session, but I probably could have been mute and the pictures would have turned out just as amazing. They are totally in love, and totally sweet with one another, and my job of documenting their love was as easy as it comes! See a few favorites below, or see more from their session in the SLIDESHOW!
Have a great Thursday!no comments

Rachel and Daniel were a dream to photograph, not only because they are adorable and totally in love, but because they were literally up for anything! Rachel scouted out an amazing location for the shoot, and brought along some super-cute props to tie in. I can’t wait to show off everything from their session, but for now, just a peek at what “we’re up for anything” means!!
Are they not the cutest?!! Have a great Wednesday, and check back tomorrow for the full scoop on their engagement session!no comments
