I guess it’s no secret that I am shooting fewer weddings these days….our girls are in school now, and getting involved in sports and life is just starting to get super busy, and because so much of life happens on the weekends, we have made the hard decision to limit our wedding bookings to one wedding per month, beginning this fall. I was so excited that I had a November opening when Jessica emailed me about Abby and Justin’s wedding, as it is always fun to work a wedding with Finishing Touch Event Design. After meeting Abby and Justin this past weekend, I can say that my level of excitement over their wedding has increased exponentially! These two were just a blast to hang out with and shoot, and I adored getting to know them!
Justin and Abby met in college, several years ago, through the help of mutual friends, and a relationship quickly blossomed. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding at The Clinton Library this fall! Brooke and Robert were married this past weekend in a beautiful day (thankfully, after a week of yuck, cold weather!) These two are just crazy about one another, and it was hard not to smile at their excitement to be getting married! Wes and I were honored to play a small part in their day. My last senior session of the 2013 year was a fun one. We shot on Dalton’s families land, and included lots of spots that were special to him and his mother. We also shot with a VIP in Dalton’s life…his grandfather!

I shot Whitney’s senior portraits last fall, but when her mom commented on how they would have loved to shoot at the waterfall, and an idea hatched in my brain, and we worked out a trade! Carrie (Whit’s mom) is an awesome hair stylist, and she is going to be styling many of my senior models for the upcoming shoots…..and I was able to test some of the spots we’ll be using for the model shoot in May! Whitney is a beautiful girl, and I was so excited to shoot her again!
