What a fun way to start the morning! Gillian and Elena were full of energy, and far more interested in playing than posing, which is precisely what we did. Play that is. Chase, tag, ring around the rosie, cartwheels….you name it, these girls were up for it! Gillian and Elena are in town visiting their aunts and grandpa, all the way from Austin, Texas. I was so happy Chris called and wanted some pictures of the girls in Arkansas.

True story – a five year old took this picture. And it may well be my favorite shot of the day! Gillian wanted to take a picture, and so I helped her get set up and shoot a few rounds of Elena. Truly, though, I did not expect such a great shot! I had the aperture set wide open, which is what makes for the nice blurred background, but also makes it a little harder to focus. So, I expected blurry shots, but she nailed it! Glad Gillian’s from Texas, or she might put me out of business!
Not to be outdone, Elena wanted her turn! So a three year old took this picture! Not bad…..interesting composition
