Gray Family Picture Day

It’s a yearly tradition, and we typically try to do a family shot during summer vacation, but it just didn’t happen in Florida this year.  Which turned out to probably be the best thing ever, since I had the great idea to have an actual photographer take our family pictures (duh!), rather than using a tripod/timer, like we typically do.  With four kids to consider, it was so much better to have a person on the other side of the camera.  This is the first “complete” family picture, as it seems every year for the past 5 years or so, we’ve added a kid to the mix, and then the last picture would be missing the new one.  Knock on wood, there are no plans for any more additions, so maybe this will be the first “complete” family shot ever on the books for the Gray family!

Huge, huge, HUGE thanks to Tryston Hines, who was sweet enough (or maybe I should say crazy enough!) to agree to a trade, and after I shot a few maternity shots with she and Micheal, she wrangled our entire family for a few shots.  After the group shot,  Lori shot my family, and I shot a few of her family….along with a few of the grand kids together and with their Nan and Pops.  Afterwards, we celebrated with our annual fall hayride and s’mores roast.  Here are a few favorites from our official 2011 Gray Family Picture Day…..

I did a little bit of head-swapping here and there, but for the most part, the kids were close-to-perfect, and they actually smiled and looked at the camera most of the time…..maybe it had to do with the bribes we had all laid-out, or maybe we just got lucky.  Whatever the case, we were all kind of in shock at how easy the session was!

Happy Tuesday!
