When I was a little girl, all I wanted to be was a basketball player, like the big girls on my dad’s teams. I loved watching them play so much, and would sometimes dress up in a little uniform and sit on the bench, dispensing water bottles. I truly felt like a part of the team, and those memories stick with me to this day. Seeing Shonda today brought back some of those memories. Shonda was a great post player, on one of my dad’s best high school teams. Today, over twenty years later, I had the pleasure of photographing her family.
Stacy, Shonda’s sister-in-law, contacted me about family pictures over the Thanksgiving break. It was so fun to see everyone, especially Evan, who was the ring bearer in our wedding, and is now so grown up! It was a bleak day, but we managed to get some great shots, especially of the kids. Hope you enjoy a few of my favorites from the shoot…..
Grayson wanted to show my his Christian coin, so I had to snap a shot of it!
The whole family, in a pose Shonda requested- I love it when people make requests for shots they envision….
And, Stacy’s request for a jump-shot…..
Hanna is just lovely….
And, Grayson is ah-dorable!
Last, but not least, my ring-bearer, all grown up…and so handsome!
