Christina had dreamed about a fairy tale wedding since she was a little girl, and that’s coming from her sister. It was obvious to see that Christina had put great time and energy into having the perfect happily-ever-after wedding. And, it was….the perfect wedding. The weather was beautiful, and the entire wedding was perfect. But, to me, what made the wedding a fairy tale had nothing to do with any of the details Christina spent hours and hours perfecting.
I watched Christina from behind my lens, from the moment I arrived at her cousins house….. from the final stages of getting ready….. and she was a typically stressed out bride. Glowing and happy, elated her day had finally arrived, but stressed out and wired, nontheless. Luckily, Christina planned for a first look with Kyle. That first look was the moment, at least for me, that the wedding became a fairy tale. Because I watched as the stress and excitement of planning a wedding melted into absolute love and adoration. When Christina saw Kyle for the first time on her wedding day, I watched her smile become genuine. She is just so in love with him, and him with her. His eyes danced, and crinkled in the corners, as he saw his bride for the first time. And that, my friends, is why I love shooting weddings.
It has been a blessing getting to know Christina and Kyle over the past few months, and I am certain theirs will be a happily ever after. They are now enjoying Mexico, as I enjoy Florida with my family, but here’s little tidbit of their wedding day, followed by a slideshow. Enjoy!
Congratulations, Kyle and Christina!
