Pruitt Family

I wonder how many times I have sat in a church service, listening to a missionary’s testimony, and wondered if I could do it? If God called my family to the mission field, to leave the safety and luxury of this country, could I answer the call? Would I go? And I am ashamed to say, more than once I have breathed a sigh of relief that we’ve never faced that decision. But, what if? I’d like to think that I would do it, that my family would sacrafice.

I want to say I would do what Shannon and Susan Pruitt are getting ready to do. They, along with their children, Ethan and Megan, are leaving to USA to become missionaries in Guatemala. They asked me to take some family pictures for a newsletter they will be sending to churches as they leave for the mission field. A picture that church families will hold, showing them faces to go with the names of missionaries who need support and prayer.

Many times I have looked at just such a newsletter, and wondered about the faces of the missionary family staring back at me, as I offered a prayer for their safety and peace.

I hope you guys find a picture that will work! Shannon and Susan, I am so proud to say I know you, and I admire so much that you are obeying God’s call! I know He will use you in amazing ways, and I can’t wait to read your blog and keep up with all that is going on in the mission field!

Here a few of my favorites from the session:

Play nice…….

That’s better….

I can never resist a sun-shot!

At this point in the shoot, the kids just starting laughing and cracking up, and I love catching those “real” smiles……

Then I turned around and caught this picture of what was making the kids laugh so hard…..sorry Shannon, I had to do it!!

These guys were all about having some fun!!

And, finally, I LOVE this shot of Megan, she just looks so sweet and innocent, you could never convince me otherwise……

Pruitt family, it was a blast! We will be thinking of you, praying for you, and keeping up with you through your blog!! God Bless!
