He can still remember exactly the way he felt, the first time he planned to ask her out. Cole noticed Stephanie on several occasions, around campus and such, but working up the nerve to ask her out….would prove to be more difficult that he had imagined. He approached her table in the campus cafeteria with his buddy, fully planning to ask for a date. I could not hear anything above the noise of my heart in my chest…..and no words would form. So, I just kept right on walking, past her table, he admitted with a sheepish grin. Stephanie smiled fondly at Cole as she wryly recounted….Cole wasn’t exactly the most “experienced” with the moves,. I seem to lack what my friends all call….having game, Cole further explained. So, how did he manage that sacred first date? Facebook. He messaged her. But, hey, give the guy a break! She is gorgeous, and it’s pretty sweet that he was so tongue-tied in the beginning! The date turned into more of a group hangout, but somehow, that was enough to win over the prettiest girl he had ever seen, the one who was totally out of his league (his words, not mine)
Last January, after purchasing the ring, Cole sent frantic text messages to a slew of their friends, and he proposed amidst their closest friends. Needless to say, I am so excited to be shooting their wedding this December! We met up last weekend to shoot their engagement session on Mt. Nebo, and here are a few of my favorites….or you can check out Stephanie and Cole’s entire session in the SLIDESHOW!
