Their love story begins in church, which is a great place to start! Brittany and Tim were both students at Arkansas Tech, but they met while attending church in town. In the same Sunday school class, they never really got to know one another as more than vague acquaintances, until Brittany’s mom called her for help one day. Brittany’s home church was looking for an interim youth minister, and did Brittany know anyone through school or church who might be a good fit. Immediately, Brittany thought of Tim, and told her mom she would check into it.
Tim was indeed interested, and took on the position after meeting with the selection committee. Because Brittany was the only person in the entire town who Tim knew, she and her family managed to take him in, and often he would visit for dinner or to hang out. Simply put, Brittany and her entire family fell in love with Tim, which worked out quite nicely, since he as head over heels for Brittany as well!
Funny aside…..Brittany’s mother had always joked that when the guy came along who wanted to marry her daughter, he had better be ready for a full background check. Interestingly enough, one of the hurdles Tim had to jump in accepting the interim minister position…..you guessed it, a background check!! Needless to say, Brittany’s mom fully approves, and can breath a sigh of relief, knowing her future-son-in-law has a squeaky-clean background!
I seriously enjoyed Brittany and Tim’s engagement session. We met during the last hour of light, to take advantage of the slightly cooler temperature. Here are a few favorites, and as always, you can see more of their session in the slideshow!
Brittany and Tim love to picnic, and brought along some of their standard picnic supplies for a few photos…..which I love!
I cannot express how much I love it when couples bring a few ideas/props with them to the session…. it’s such a fun way to make the session personal and unique.
They are all about some s’mores….doesn’t this just make you ready for fall and roasting marshmallows?!
Standard picnic fare for the typical college student…..Lunchables!! Can’t go wrong with good old Lunchables, and how easy is that?!
